Kids Swing Seat With Pallet Sunshade

Out of the wreckage when clearing the brambles away from the southern end of the garden, I discovered several children’s playthings, one being this delightful little swing seat. It looked like it had far too much potential to throw away so decided to embark on a recovery mission which involved me learning several simple, but none-the-less, useful skills.

The finished article has now been delivered back to it’s source, the neighbour next door, where it is now receiving another sizable dose of tlc! Must be infectious this upcycling malarkey?!

Rustic Fence

So the kind chap who recently donated me his pallets encouraged me to knock on his neighbour’s door as he was sure there was a fence going to waste there that needed clearing. I promptly took up the opportunity and sure enough a fine rustic fence was hiding behind his shed. I duly cut it up into manageable chunks and transported it home on the trusty wheelbarrow! (Along with a couple of other pallets, a swing and a children’s bed that they didn’t want!!)

Turns out the fence was just the right length for our front garden! Another very satisfying endeavour and we had a lot of fun making it 🙂
